Like a return, a reversal, a lingering presence

*Myein* signifies a sacred call for silence—an initiation rite. Etymologically, it denotes "closing"—closing the eyes, but above all, the mouth.

This work begins with moments of "stagnation," "wandering," these faint yet persistent, indescribable instantaneous perceptions, giving meaning back to the state of "inaction." In these seemingly empty gaps, life transcends the logic of production, seeking the possibility of inward return.

In the post-industrial era, the noise of machines gives way to the noise of communication; more information, more interaction, guarantees more production. The coercion of production manifests as the coercion of communication. And today's coercion of communication means we can neither close our eyes nor our mouths. This is a desecration of life. Life becomes mere survival. Only in rest, in stillness, can life truly concern itself, rather than becoming subservient to an external purpose.

Therefore, I want to make lingering possible, so that in moments of hesitation, something enduring might emerge.
